Grodno. The Sapachinsky House.

In Grodno, on Karl Marx Street (number 18), there is an architectural monument known as the Sapachinsky House. Karl Marx Street is one of the oldest streets in Grodno, dating back to the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. At different times, the street had different names, and in the 19th century, during the Russian Empire, it was called Kupecheskaya (Merchant's) Street.

The Sapachinsky House was built in 1888 in an eclectic style. It has the status of historical and cultural value. The building is stone, two-storied, plastered. The decor on the front facade has been partially preserved and mainly on the second floor. Part of the decor was lost during the renovation. An authentic cast-iron balcony has been preserved in the center of the building. There is an arched passage on the left side of the building.

After the Soviet–Polish War and the Peace of Riga in 1921, the city of Grodno came under Polish rule until the arrival of Soviet power in 1939. During this period, in 1926, the office of the 'Strubnitsa' vodka factory was located in this building. In 1928, Golda Topova's meat store was open.

The architectural monument has been restored in recent years.
