Grodno. Borer's house.
The Borer House is located in the historical center of Grodno on Karl Marx Street (number 10). This is a small building that is located between two huge Catholic religious buildings: the Church of Francis Xavier of the Jesuit Order and the Monastery of the Bridgettes. The monument was erected in the second half of the 19th century during the time of the Russian Empire.
In those days, the street was not called Karl Marx, but was called Kupecheskaya (Merchant) Street. The street housed not only significant religious buildings, palaces and mansions of magnates and gentry, but also houses of merchants and merchants, shops of artisans.
The house is stone, made of brick, two-storeyed with a one-storey extension. Plastered. A significant part of the decorative decoration of the front facade of this house was lost during major repairs. There is a balcony in the center of the building. There is an arched passage on the left side.
The monument was owned by Hirshi Borer for some time. Then Prusak was the owner, and other owners. In 1911, there was a residential apartment of the doctor Shmuel Kagan.
After the Great Patriotic War, a pneumatic shooting gallery operated in the building. Since 1986, there has been a store selling DIY materials for technical creativity.
There is now an Uzbek teahouse and a Tuna sushi bar in the building.
