Grodno. Tarasevich's house.

In Grodno, on Karl Marx Street (number 12), there is an architectural monument of the 19th century, which is known as the Tarasevich House. This street was formed during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and was called Ozerskaya. Significant religious buildings and palaces of magnates and gentry were built here. There were houses and workshops of merchants and artisans. During the Russian Empire, the street was called Kupecheskaya (Merchant's).

The house was built in 1890 in an eclectic style. According to other sources, it was built in 1900. The building is stone, two-storied, made of brick and plastered. It has the status of historical and cultural value. A part of the decoration has been preserved on the front facade. A significant part of the decor was lost during the renovation. There are two balconies. Covered gable roof. The Weiss pharmacy was operating in the building in 1915.

After the signing of the Peace of Riga in 1921, the city of Grodno became part of the Polish state until 1939, when Soviet power came. During these years, in 1926, the Felix barber shop was operating. The Judesa Chernyakhovskaya beer hall was also located here in 1928. She owned a candy store in the same house.

The 'Milavitsa' store, which sells women's underwear, is currently operating in the building.
