Grodno. Karl Marx Street. The Vilner's House.

In the city of Grodno, along Karl Marx Street (house number 13), there is an ancient architectural monument called the Vilner's House. The building was built during the Russian Empire in 1889.

Once the front facade of this house was decorated with stucco, but the decor was lost during major repairs and rebuilding. The house is stone, two-storied and plastered. There is an authentic cast iron balcony in the central part.

In 1894, the photo studio of the brothers Bloch and Girsha Abramovich Shulner-Dombrovitsky worked in this house. At the beginning of the century, in 1911, doctor Ludwig Cherkovsky had his apartment here.

After the Peace of Riga in 1921, Grodno was part of the Polish state, until the coming of Soviet power in 1939. During this period, manager Moses Kaminsky lived in the building, and there was a watchmaking and repair shop owned by Wolf Skibelsky.

Now the 'Wedding House' salon is located in the house.
