Description
In the small village of Zarya Communizma (The Dawn of Communism), there is a silent witness to a bygone era – the building of a former blacksmith shop. This building, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, was once an integral part of the prosperous estate of the princes Svyatopolk-Chetvertinsky.

The abandoned forge is the architectural heritage of the region.
Today, looking at the two-story brick building, it is difficult to imagine how work was once in full swing here, the sound of metal ringing and sparks flying in all directions. However, even in its current dilapidated state, the forge retains a special charm and is a striking example of the industrial architecture of its time.
The architectural appearance of the building bears the expressive features of Neo-Gothic. The brickwork and other decorative elements refer to the aesthetics of the Middle Ages, giving the forge a unique and noble look.
The building of the former forge at Zarya Communizma is not just an old building. This is a part of history and it preserves the memory of the Svyatopolk-Chetvertinsky princely family and the time when the estates were the centers of economic and cultural life.
The building demonstrates how neo-Gothic could be adapted to industrial structures, creating unique and functional spaces.
Unfortunately, many of these historical sites are in disrepair and are gradually being destroyed. It is important to remember their value and look for ways to preserve and restore them so that they can continue to tell their stories to future generations.
Perhaps one day the abandoned forge at Zarya Communizma will come to life again, becoming a museum or cultural center, and will continue its story of former greatness and architectural heritage.
