The kurgan was built in 1967. The place was not chosen by chance - on July 14, 1941, one of the first partisan detachments in Belarus was created here.

Memorial "Mound of Immortality".
At the initiative of the participants of the partisan movement, it was decided to perpetuate the heroic chronicle of the war and create a Burial Mound of Immortality. It was a landmark event. From Klichev, war veterans, commanders of partisan detachments, civilians and children marched in an even column. They were all carrying a handful of earth. The man-made mound they built is a memorial to the dead, for the edification of their descendants, so that they would remember the victims of that terrible war.
Later, a monument was erected on the Mound: a soldier, a partisan and a civilian - a symbol of the unity of the people who stood up during the Great Patriotic War. The base of the Mound contains a capsule with a list of soldiers, partisans and civilians of the Klichev district who died during the war, and a testament to their descendants calling for peace and preserving the memory of those who gave their lives for freedom and independence.
The height of the Mound is 13 m, the height of the stele on the Mound is 7 m. On the stele are lines dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War: Glory to you brave, Glory to the fearless.
The people sing eternal glory to you. Who lived valiantly, crushed death,
The memory of you will never die...
On the reverse side of the monument are marked the numbers and names of the partisan regiments operating in the territory of the Klichev region. A cannon is installed near the parking lot, next to the mound on the right side. To the left of the Mound, under the trees, there is a small stage-pedestal.
The revenge of the partisans on the invaders and the punishers was merciless. From the first days of the war, the Klichev district became a land of active resistance to enemy violence, organizing and leading the center of the partisan movement in the Mogilev region.
On July 14, 1941, a party meeting of patriots of the district was held here, at which it was decided to create one of the first partisan detachments. The detachment took part in the defeat of the Klichev German police garrison. In September 1943, it was transformed into a partisan regiment. By the spring of 1942, six more partisan detachments were operating here.
The monument on the Mound of Immortality is also dedicated to the events of 1944. In June of this year, the Klichev district was liberated by units of the rifle division under the command of General Nikitin with the assistance of units of the Belorussian Front.
This magnificent structure is a reproach to all those who unleash wars and do not honor the memory of innocent people who died.
