Klichev Museum of Local Lore.
The museum's exposition opens with a stylized book with the famous quote by Francis Skorina. The history of the museum and the region, local legends, and symbols are the main themes that the introductory hall reveals.
Next is the Archeology hall.
Klichev region is considered the edge of medieval burial mounds. There are more than 100 archaeological sites in the area. There is a valuable set of women's jewelry among the exhibits of the excavations. A unique find is a pendant-medallion with the image of a bird holding a vine branch in its beak, beads, intricate work and other jewelry.
The next room is "River and man". The Olsa River, which was full of water at that time, was used by an endless caravan to float timber, hemp, honey, wax and other riches of the Klichev land, and metals and objects necessary for the Klichev region were brought back. The largest enterprise on the coast was a glass factory Greengauza. It was used to make pharmacy tableware, bottles, window glass, and glassware.
The hall "Culture and way of life of farmers" introduces the variety of customs and rituals of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Icons and objects of worship of Christians are presented in the hall "Holy Faces of Eternity". The museum received most of the collection as a gift from the Brest Customs.
The next room is "The history of the Klichev partisan zone."
Klichev land is the most forested corner of Mogilev region. During the Patriotic War, Klichev became the edge of national resistance. The soldiers were men and women, adults and children. Underground party newspapers were published here. A partisan airfield was also restored in Klichev, where aircraft from the mainland were received.
Sound equipment is installed in the hall, and information about the war can also be obtained through the information module (infokiosk).
The youngest of them all is the Hall of nature. The exhibition was opened in 2014. Since ancient times, the Klichev region has been famous for its natural resources. There are 26 lakes, 29 rivers, and more than half of the area is covered by forests. There are 39 natural monuments in the Klichev region, two of them of national importance. At the beginning of the 20th century, there was a "winter garden" here, owned by the landowner Nezabytovsky. It decorated his estate and served as a salon. Reviving historical traditions, the museum staff also laid out a small "winter garden".
Musical lounges are held here monthly.
There is an apothecary's garden at the museum, where about 100 species of medicinal, aromatic and ornamental plants grow. Visitors are offered to take an unusual tour "Journey through the apothecary's garden". But this is not a dry lecture on botany, and vivid and interesting facts are reported about each plant here.
The museum organizes group tours, field trips, road trips to the "Partisan zone", tours of the memorial complex of Partisan glory "Usakino".
