Bisheim is the historical and cultural heritage of Shklov.

Bisheim is a hill located on the outskirts of the city of Shklov. This place has historical and cultural significance, especially for the Jewish community. During the Great Patriotic War, it became the scene of tragic events.

Bisheim is home to an ancient Jewish cemetery, which is an important monument to the Jewish history of the region. The victims of the Shklov ghetto were reburied here, and a monument was erected on the territory with the inscription: "No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten." Mass graves were also created to commemorate the names of the victims of the Holocaust.

The cemetery is accessible through a unique staircase-corridor lined with bricks. This staircase not only serves as a practical entrance to the cemetery, but also adds an atmosphere of historical significance to this place. Bisheim and its cemetery attract the attention of both locals and tourists interested in the history and culture of the Jewish people in Belarus.

A few years ago, Russian statesman Ilya Klebanov visited the territory. After learning about his Belarusian roots, he allocated funds to preserve the monument. The famous sculptor Georgy Frangulyan joined the project, who proposed placing seven menhirs, vertical stone structures, on top of the memorial.

Currently, active work is underway: the staircase will be reinforced, and pedestrian paths lined with tiles and cobblestones will appear next to it.

Belarusian scientists and restorers are responsible for the implementation of the project. This monument unites the efforts of local historians, local authorities, the Jewish community and patrons. Today, it already attracts tourists from different countries who seek to learn about their ancestors.
