Grodno. 17 Sovetskaya Street.

In the city of Grodno, on Sovetskaya pedestrian street, there is an old building, an architectural monument - this building is number 17, it consists of three parts.

House No. 17 faces Sovetskaya Street, and houses No. 17 A and No. 17 B face the courtyard of house No. 17.

Building number 17 was built in 1811. The two-storey stone house is adjacent to houses No. 15 and 19. There is now an 'Americana' coffee shop and pastry shop, a clinic and a medical laboratory, as well as a landscape design firm, 'Paradise Garden'.

The passage to building No. 17 is through the arch of house No. 17. It has the status of an architectural monument. The two-storey building was built in 1895. It is considered a typical wing, which is built in the eclectic style. During the years of interwar Poland, Hamul's photo studio worked here. After the Great Patriotic War, the building was occupied by the Union of Soviet Writers of the BSSR (Grodno regional branch). Famous Belarusian writers Alexey Karpyuk and Vasil Bykov have visited here more than once.

Now it's an apartment building.

Building 17B is located in the courtyard of house No. 17. The passage to it is through an arch. The building has two floors. It was built in 1820. A sewing studio is currently operating here.
