Grodno. Sovetskaya Street, 19.

In the city of Grodno, on pedestrian street called Sovetskaya, there is an architectural monument of the 19th century. This building is number 19. The house is stone, two-storied. There is a balcony on the second floor. There is a triangular pediment above the central part of the building. The building has the status of historical and cultural value.

The monument was erected during the Russian Empire in 1848, and was rebuilt in 1875. During the Soviet Union, there was a Gift Shop here, which was opened in 1985. The store sold porcelain and crystal products, souvenirs and tableware for table setting. Now there is a Grazhina store in this house. The building is adjacent to house No. 17.

The modern store is named after the famous literary hero, the brilliant poet Adam Mickiewicz, who came from the Grodno region. A. Mickiewicz (1798-1855) was an outstanding Belarusian and Polish poet, translator, teacher, public and political figure.

One of Mickiewicz's first significant poems was "Grazyna". The plot of this "Lithuanian tale", as the poet himself called it, consists of a folk legend about the struggle of local tribes against the Crusader order in the 14th century.
