In Grodno, on Sovetskaya pedestrian street at the intersection with Telman Street, there is an architectural monument known as Soloveitchik's House (Sovetskaya St., 27).

The house is stone, two-storied. It was built during the Russian Empire in 1870. At different times, there were residential apartments and various institutions here.

In 1903, the apartment of the sworn attorney Yanovsky.

In 1911, Trokenitsky's bookstore, Savitsky's notary office, Shereshevskaya's midwife lived, Krzywiec's pharmacy was located, and the Bellevue Hotel was open. The hotel also operated during the period of the Polish state from 1921 to 1939. After all, after the Riga Peace, Grodno was part of Poland until the arrival of Soviet power in 1939.

After the Great Patriotic War, the regional children's library has been operating in the building. There was also a Culinary store here.

At the moment, the children's branch of the Grodno Regional Library named after Evfimiy Karsky is located in the house.

Academician E. Karsky (1861-1931) was an ethnographer and folklorist, paleographer, philologist, Slavist, who became the founder of the Belarusian scientific literary and linguistics. Academician of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences, member of the Institute of Belarusian Culture. He was born in the town of Losha, Grodno district.

There are also several cafes in the building. There is a bike parking next to the house. The building is adjacent to house No. 25.
