Grodno. Frumkin's house.

In the city of Grodno, on Sovetskaya pedestrian street, there is a stone two-story building No. 29, which has a long history. The house is located at the intersection of Sovetskaya and Telman streets. The building has two floors. For a long time, the 'Detsky Mir' children's store has been operating here since Soviet times, since 1977.

The building was built in the 19th century during the time of the Russian Empire. He was known as "kamyanitsa Frumkina". In 1909, Ibersky's bookstore was open, which was well known throughout the city. In addition to new books, they sold briefcases and folders, maps and globes, sheet music and paints, tennis and soccer balls, and stamp albums.

The building was significantly rebuilt during the Polish state in the 1920s. In 1922, the library began to operate, which had the latest editions of Polish fiction and literature.

There was a shop called the 'Philharmonic', which belonged to Mizelmacher. They sold tickets to the city theater here.

The 'Narodovy Bank in Grodno' was established in 1938.

After the Great Patriotic War, the building was also adapted for shops and institutions. The store of the Bialystok railway was operating in 1945. And since 1947, the first department store in Grodno began its work. Since 1963, the 'Alyonushka' children's store.

In the late 1970s, after the addition of the second floor and a major reconstruction, the 'Detsky Mir' store began operating. The reconstruction project of the building was developed by architect Ivan Maznichko.

Belinvestbank, a 'Slavyanka' clothing store, a karaoke club 'On the Moon' and other establishments are currently operating here.
