Chernyany. The Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God.

There is a place called Chernyany between Malorita and Kobrin. A wooden Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God has been built in the very center of the village.

The church was first mentioned during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1574. In 1668, the church had two portages of land. The church is also mentioned in documents in 1724 and 1786. By the middle of the 19th century, the church building had fallen into disrepair, and even in 1870, Priest John Gatskevich informed his parishioners that if they did not take care of their church and begin repairs, it would go to another parish. After this warning, the parishioners immediately raised funds and carried out repairs in 1871. In 1883, a parish school was opened at the church.

The church is an architectural monument of wooden architecture. It consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A canopy on two pillars with a triangular pediment is attached to the narthex. A two-tiered eight-on-four bell tower is built over the vestibule. There is a multi-faceted high tent above the bell tower. Above the main volume is a four–pitched roof, above which is an octagonal drum with a wide onion dome. A pentagonal apse with side sacristy is attached to the main volume.

In the 1990s, the church was renovated. To the right of the temple are the graves of priests.
