Dubenets. Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God.

Dubenets is located between Stolin and David-Gorodok. In the middle of the village stands the wooden Orthodox church of the 18th century, the birth of the Mother of God.

The first historical sources mention Dubenets in the early 18th century. During that period of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, these lands belonged to the Kolb-Seletskys and Kanevichi.

The church was built in 1718 by the foundation of the local noble Kolb–Seletsky. According to some sources, the church initially belonged to Uniate believers and only later moved to the Orthodox.

In the 19th century, the interior had a single-tiered wooden iconostasis with six icons. There were also two of the most revered images that were painted on the boards: St. Paraskeva and the Most Holy Theotokos. According to local legend, the icon of the Virgin appeared on an old pear tree that grew in the local churchyard. Among the liturgical items was a Uniate silver chalice from 1770. There were three Gospels. The church archive had metric books with records from 1780. There were three bells on the bell tower: one pood, 2 and 4 poods.

Another church in the village of Berezhnoye and five cemeteries were assigned to the church. The parish of the church consisted of five nearby villages. At the end of the 19th century, there were 633 men and 668 women in parishioners. There were 2 priests who served at the church: the rector and the psalmist. The church owned 48 desyatins of hay and arable land. The rectory was built in 1848. There was also a room for a psalmist.

The church consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A three-tiered eight-on-four bell tower is built above the vestibule. A massive dome is built over the main volume. The church has been renovated in recent years.
