Stolovichi. Church of the Heart of Jesus.
There are two ancient brick churches in the village of Stolovichi: the Orthodox Church of Alexander Nevsky and the Church of the Heart of Jesus. The Church of Alexander Nevsky (formerly the Assumption Church) was built in the 17th-18th centuries as a Catholic church. But in the 19th century, after the suppression of the anti-Russian uprising in our lands, it was transferred to the Orthodox Church. That is why it became necessary to build a new church in Stolovichi.
In 1907-1911, a new church in the neo-Gothic style was built with donations from local parishioners. The temple is a three-nave basilica with one tower - a bell tower above the entrance. The building is rectangular in plan, covered with a gable roof. The architectural highlight is the two-story bell tower, topped with a high spire. The side facades are divided by lancet windows and buttresses.
The interior contains a wooden single-tier altar, in the center of which, in a pointed niche, there is a wooden sculpture of Christ.
The area around the church is well-groomed and decorated with ornamental plants.
The church is active.
