Velikorita. Park at the Troekurov-Leshchinsky estate.

The village of Velikorita is located on the highway between Brest and Malorita. There is a small river here with a beautiful name Rita. Velikorita was first mentioned in the 16th century and was part of the Brest Voivodeship.

At the beginning of the 18th century, the Blumsky family was the owners of the estate. The King of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Augustus III, confirmed the privilege of owning the estate of Velikorita Sophia and John Blumsky in 1724 and 1758. In the 19th century, the estate was annexed to the Rudka estate, which was owned by the Yagmins. Then estate was acquired by representatives of the Kondin family, who built a new palace and reconstructed the old landscape park. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Lipchitsy and Leshchinskys owned the estate.

After the Peace of Riga in 1921, the Leshchinskys came to Velikorita and ruled here until the arrival of Soviet power in 1939. Vladimir Leshchinsky, married Princess Troekurova and also received the title of prince and the double surname of Troekurov-Leshchinsky. They had two children: son and daughter. Some of their family were buried on the outskirts of the estate. The main building burned down during the war. The park of the former manor has been preserved to our time.

The manor and park ensemble was located on the banks of the Rita river in the southern part. The master's palace was a wooden building, which was an elongated rectangle in plan. The house was covered with a gable iron roof. The palace had 14 rooms: a library, an office, a bedroom, and others. Near the palace there is a landscape park with an area of about 5 hectares. After the war, the locals partially cut down the park for household needs. On the outskirts of the park were outbuildings of the estate and the graves of the Troekurov family. Some of the trees in the park are 200 hundred years old. The park has the status of a natural monument.
