Vitebsk. Summer amphitheater

If you are in Vitebsk, do not miss the Summer Amphitheater, which is located in a picturesque valley. The first Summer Amphitheater appeared in Vitebsk at the beginning of the 20th century. And this modern one was built in Soviet times in 1988. The stage area is 430 square meters and can simultaneously accommodate almost one and a half thousand artists. There are 6,247 spectators. There are also 2 large screens for spectators. And there are comfortable dressing rooms for artists. Many mass events of the city and international level are held on this stage. The most famous of them is the famous festival "Slavic Bazaar", the predecessor of which was the "Festival of Polish Song in Vitebsk". The first festival of Polish song was held in July 1988 at a high level with numerous guests from Poland, and the then leaders of the countries Mikhail Gorbachev and Wojciech Jaruzelski sent their congratulations to the participants of the festival. And since 1992, another large-scale festival called "Slavic Bazaar" has been held. Many famous performers from different countries have become guests of the festival: Alla Pugacheva, Sofia Rotaru, Patricia Kaas, Alexander Rybak, Laima Vaikule and many others.
