Khodtsy. Outbuildings of the von Rentel estate.
Landmark
Belarus, Vitebsk region, Sennensky district, Khodtsy agro-town
Description
In the very heart of the agro-town of Khodtsy, where administrative offices are located today, the estate of Baron von Rentel once stood. Unfortunately, the manor itself has not been preserved, but echoes of its former greatness can still be seen today – in the form of two impressive outbuildings dating back to the beginning of the 20th century.

The outbuildings of the von Rentel estate in Khodtsy are echoes of former greatness.
These massive structures, located on the outskirts of the agro-town of Khodtsy, are a striking example of the industrial architecture of that time. Despite the fact that the manor has not survived to the present day, these buildings serve as evidence that Khodtsy was once bustling with life and large-scale production was launched.
The outbuildings of the von Rentel estate are striking in their size and picturesque appearance. The combination of red brick and rubble stone, as well as the simple but expressive decor of the facades give them a special charm. These buildings housed various industries and kept livestock. According to local residents, one of the buildings with a deep basement once housed a cheese factory, perhaps even a distillery.
The history of the manor is connected with the von Rentel family. The last owner of the Khodtsy estate was Theodor (Fedor) von Rentel XVIII.
The preserved outbuildings are not just architectural objects, they are part of the history of the Khodians, a reminder of the former prosperity and evidence of the rich heritage of this place. Visiting these buildings will allow you to touch the past and imagine the scale of production that was once conducted here.
