Museum of the Glory of Mogilev region: touch the history of the heroic region.

The Museum of the Glory of Mogilev region was opened in the summer of 2025. Its construction began in 2023. The idea of creating it arose on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the defense of the Dnieper frontier, when an initiative group consisting of representatives of public organizations, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Armed Forces, search engines and the public of Mogilev proposed to reconstruct the Buinichi Field memorial complex and create a museum.

The museum building itself is a symbol: it is made in the form of the Order of the Patriotic War. And this is not accidental, since Mogilev was awarded this high award for the bravery and perseverance shown by its inhabitants during the Great Patriotic War, as well as for achievements in economic and cultural development.

The Museum of the Glory of Mogilev region is not just a repository of artifacts, but a modern cultural, educational and training center. It uses such advanced interactive technologies as augmented reality (AR), which makes it possible to bring exhibits to life and create the effect of immersion in the past, as well as multimedia solutions that present information in a fascinating and accessible form.

The museum has a well-developed infrastructure. Along with the exhibition hall for temporary exhibitions, there is an assembly hall for events, two conference rooms for seminars, an office for museum classes and educational programs for children and adults.

There is a souvenir shop, as well as a buffet where visitors can have a snack.

The Museum of the Glory of the Mogilev region is a branch of the Mogilev Regional Museum of Local Lore named after E.R. Romanov.

In total, the museum presents 16 exhibition themes that allow you to delve deeply into the history of the region. The museum's exposition covers various periods of the history of Mogilev region:

"Mogilev region at the crossroads of history" is an overview exhibition that tells about the main stages of the region's development.

"The day before. Mogilev region in the 1930s" - tells about the life of the region in the pre-war decade.

"Mogilev region during the Great Patriotic War" is the central exhibition dedicated to the feat of the inhabitants of Mogilev region in the fight against fascism.

"Fellow countrymen in local wars. Afghan Warriors" is an exhibition dedicated to the participation of residents of Mogilev region in local conflicts.

"Labor Glory of Mogilev region" - tells about the labor achievements of the residents of the region.

The creation of the Museum of the Glory of the Mogilev region became the logical conclusion of the concept of the Buinichi Field memorial complex and is designed to perpetuate the feat of the people, heroism and courage of the defenders during the Great Patriotic War and other historical epochs of the Dnieper region.

By visiting the Museum of the Glory of Mogilev region, you will be able to touch the past!
