If you are going to explore the historical center with many churches and the castle hill in the city of Mstislavl, do not forget about the regional historical and archaeological museum. This is the only historical and archaeological museum in the Mogilev region. A significant part of the exhibition is occupied by archaeological finds, as the city was explored by famous historians and archaeologists: Leonid Alekseev, Mikhas Tkachev, Oleg Trusov and others. The institution of the museum is located a little on the outskirts in the former post office building, which was built at the end of the 19th century. The museum is considered one of the best local history district museums in Belarus primarily due to its unique exhibits, which are not found even in the capital's museums. For example, 2 knight's helmets of the 15th century: the "Shishak" helmet of the 14th - 15th century and the "Salad" helmet - also of the 15th century.
