St. George's Church is a historical building of the second half of the 19th century, a monument of folk wooden architecture.

St. George's Church, located in the old Christian cemetery of Kobrin, was built presumably in 1889 at the expense of parishioners. The cemetery where it is located is called the Old Christian cemetery. It was probably originally multi-religious, but after the church was built, only Orthodox Christians were buried here. The cemetery is maintained at a high level, as can be seen from the state of the monuments and graves. It is surrounded by a low red brick fence.

There is an opinion that St. George's Church could have been rebuilt from the Prechistenskaya Church that previously existed on this site, as evidenced by the "Grodno Orthodox Church Calendar" from 1899.

Throughout its existence, the church has gone through many changes. In 1961, due to dilapidation, it was closed and used as a warehouse. However, with the start of restoration work in the early 1990s, after the collapse of the USSR, the Kobrin authorities decided to restore it. The church was reopened and consecrated in 2005.

Inside St. George's Church there is a list of the image of St. George the Victorious and a fragment of his relics. Saint George is one of the most revered saints in the Orthodox tradition, known for his feat of defeating the serpent, which symbolizes the invincibility of Orthodox warriors and military prowess.

The church is recognized as a historical and cultural monument and is one of the few preserved wooden functioning churches on the territory of Kobrin.

St. George's Church, as an important historical and cultural site, continues to serve as a place of spiritual communion and preservation of Orthodox traditions for residents of Kobrin and its guests.
