Grodno. Shereshevsky House (15 Zamkovaya St.).

In Grodno, on Zamkovaya (Castle) Street, next to the fire tower, there is the Shereshevsky House (No. 15). The building is stone, four-storied, and has the status of historical and cultural value.

The monument was erected during the time of the Russian Empire in 1870. Some historians believe that the building was not built in 1870, but was rebuilt from an ancient stone building of the 17th – 18th centuries during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

At first, the house was two-storied with an attic and balconies. The facades were decorated with decorations and stucco. In Soviet times, in the 1970s, the building was completely renovated and the third and fourth floors were added. The decor was removed from the facades and the windows were resized.

In 1892, a significant event for Grodno took place in the building - the congress of magistrates was held here. In 1910-1915, Shereshevsky was the owner of the building.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the famous Grodno doctor Igor Valdemarovich Golmsten had his apartment in the house. He was one of the owners of the Saturn cinema in Grodno.

To date, the building has been converted into residential apartments. Houses No. 13 and No. 15A are adjacent to it.
