Grodno. Rokhly Rachel's house (13 Zamkovaya St.).

In the city of Grodno, on Zamkovaya (Castle) Street (house number 13), there is an architectural monument that was known as the Rokhly-Rutkovskaya Rachel wine shop. The building is a three-storey stone building, built during the Russian Empire in 1901.

The house is asymmetrical in plan, has a high basement and is covered with a gable roof. The center of the building is decorated with a balcony with a wrought-iron lattice. The front facade facing Castle Street is richly decorated with stucco.

Originally, there was a stone building from the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which was built in the 17th century.

The Rokhly wine shop was very well known to the poor of Grodno. It was here that the cheapest, most affordable wine was sold. 

According to the deed of sale, in 1911 this building was owned by Kagan Yankel Israel. Since the revolution, the Hashi Apoi consumer goods store has been operating here since 1918.

After the Great Patriotic War, the house was transferred to the Grodno Mechanical College of Railway Transport. In the 1960s, the premises belonged to the music pedagogical college. There was a dormitory of an educational institution here.

Now there are several shops and establishments in the building.
