Bykhov Synagogue.

The Bykhov Synagogue was built of brick in the middle of the 17th century in the Renaissance style with Baroque elements. It is a central building 20 by 21 meters in plan, which has some elements of defensive construction: a round battle tower, a defensive and decorative attic, there were also loopholes that were later walled up. The synagogue was covered with a four-pitched roof. The building had a fairly modest, restrained decor: simple cornices, shallow rectangular niches. In the interior, a two-tiered bimah has been preserved, on which the Torah was read during prayer. The beam is limited by four powerful octagonal pillars, which are connected by arches. In the interior, the corner parts are covered with cross vaults. In the bima, the lower tier has a hemispherical roof, which is decorated with a multi-colored floral ornament. The walls are decorated with pilasters. There is also an aron - kadesh, where the Torah was kept. In Soviet times, the building housed a factory and then a warehouse. Now the building is not used and the monument is gradually falling into disrepair.
