Bykhov. Trinity Church.

In the center of Bykhov, opposite the castle, a shopping square was founded in ancient times, around which shops and religious buildings were built. Among the religious buildings, the brick synagogue of the 17th century and the wooden Trinity Church of the 19th century have survived to our time. The church building is central in plan, cross-shaped, on a brick and plastered foundation. The altar part, like the wings of the transept, is pentagonal. Above the side parts of the church and above the apse is a hipped roof. In addition to the main entrance, two more side entrances were made in the form of wide brick porches with visors resting on wooden columns. The main entrance is decorated with a three-tier octagonal belfry. The walls of the belfry of the second tier are pierced with semicircular window openings, and the third tier – with rectangular openings. A large light drum is built above the central cross: 8 meters in diameter, 12 and a half meters high. The drum is finished with an octagonal dome. A cornice is made around the perimeter of the church.

The building is vertically clad. In the Soviet times, the miraculous icon of "The Mother of God Adzhitriya Barkolabovska" was kept in the Trinity Church for a long time, which was ceremoniously transferred to the Barkolabovsk Monastery in 2010.
