Bezdezh. Holy Trinity Church.

In the Drogichin district in the town of Bezdezh there are several interesting architectural monuments and a museum. It was first mentioned in the 15th century. The ancient Trinity Church is located in the center of the village.

The wooden church belonged to Uniate believers and was erected in 1784 on the site where the first Uniate church was built in the 17th century. After the partitions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the town became part of the Russian Empire. In 1839, the union was protected in Russia, and in 1865 the church passed to the Orthodox, and by order of the Governor–General of Grodno, the building was rebuilt as an Orthodox church for one thousand rubles, which were allocated by the treasury. The reconstruction project was developed by architect Mstislav Bartashevsky.

A wooden bell tower was built near the church in the 18th century in front of the main facade. The gate has an arched opening. There is a valuable bell in the bell tower, which was cast in 1776.

The church was built in the traditions of folk wooden architecture with Baroque elements. The building consists of two log cabins and three main parts: a vestibule, a prayer hall and an apse. Two four-sided towers were built above the vestibule, which are completed with barrack domes with small bulbs. The frame of the main volume and the apses have the same height and is covered by a common roof. The entrance is decorated in the form of a porch and a canopy on wooden pillars.

The interior features icons and an iconostasis with the Tsar's gate from 1872. There are valuable works from the 17th and 18th centuries among the icons.

A few years ago, the gates were rebuilt and the domes on the church were gilded. The temple has the status of an architectural monument of national importance.
