Strelno. Museum of Traditional Medicine.

The only museum of folk medicine in Belarus, located in the village of Strelno, is a branch of the Motol Museum of Folk Art. Opened in 1991, the museum was created with the aim of preserving the experience and heritage of local village healers. Its exposition features more than 110 types of medicinal herbs, as well as information about folk recipes, charms and charms. Visitors can not only learn the secrets of the herbalist grandmothers, but also try to make their own medicinal potion.

The Herb Museum consists of several exhibition halls. The main exhibition is located in the attic, where there is also a stylized "grandmother's room" with objects from rural life and a lecture hall on the medicinal properties of herbs. Most of the secrets of village therapy are recorded from the words of local healers and are kept in manuscripts. Currently, the museum staff is engaged in collecting and harvesting herbs.

The House of Herbs is constantly working on expanding the exhibition. To mark the museum's 25th anniversary, a real herbal bar was opened here, where tourists can taste medicinal teas at the end of the tour.

In the near future, the museum plans to open a guest Belarusian kitchen and an herbalist's office. It is worth noting that the medicinal properties of herbs are also recognized by traditional medicine: Belarusian sanatoriums often open herbal medicines and use infusions for inhalation.
