Zadorozhye. The Most Holy Virgin Mary the Gentle church.

In 1601, thanks to King Sigismund 3, a wooden church was built in Zadorozhye. In 1733, due to its dilapidation, the church was rebuilt. In 1902, the wooden church burned down. Since there were a large number of believers in the local parish, it was decided to revive the shrine.

The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zadorozhye is a unique architectural structure in the Neo-Gothic style. This temple was rebuilt in 1910 from brick after a fire that destroyed the previous wooden building. This restoration was an important step in preserving the cultural heritage of the region. The architectural elements of the Neo-Gothic period, such as pointed arches, stained glass windows and decorative details, give the building a majestic appearance and create an atmosphere of spirituality.

The church not only serves as a place for worship, but is also a significant historical and cultural landmark that attracts tourists and pilgrims. Its architectural beauty and historical value make it an important part of the heritage of the countryside. 

It is known that the Belarusian politician Vaclav Lastovsky was baptized in this church. Also, relatives of the writer Alexander Green lived next to the church, who are buried near the church today.
