The watermill in Luzhki, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, is an interesting example of industrial architecture.

Located on the banks of the Mnuta River next to the dam, the mill attracts attention with a combination of rough rubble stone and brickwork.

Built in the 19th century, during the development of agriculture and industry, the mill was an important center for grain processing. The three-storey rectangular building has three rooms on each floor. Two turbines and mechanisms for their adjustment were located in the basement. On the second floor there were millstones and equipment for sorting flour, which was then supplied to the third floor.

Initially, the building was used exclusively for household purposes, but after the addition of brick floors in 1912, the mill acquired a more modern look and increased its capacity.

The watermill in Luzhki is a popular destination on many tourist routes. This place is included in the programs of excursions around Belarus, allowing tourists to get acquainted with the history of industrial architecture and see an authentic building of the early 20th century.
