Description
There is a stone church of the Holy Trinity in the center of Shereshevo, Pruzhany district. The first wooden church was built back in the 16th century and burned several times. The new stone Catholic church was built in the 19th century. The monument was erected in the classical style. It has three naves. The 19th century organ has been preserved in the interior. In Soviet times, the church was closed and the temple was handed over to believers at the end of the USSR. Repairs were carried out. The church is functioning.

Shereshevo. Holy Trinity Church.
In the village of Shereshevo, Pruzhany district, there are several architectural monuments, including religious buildings. The Catholic stone church of the Holy Trinity has been preserved to our time.
The first wooden church of the Holy Trinity was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1539 by order of Queen Bona Sforza. It was destroyed by fire in the 17th century. But it's been rebuilt. The church was rebuilt and the building was destroyed by fire again in the 19th century.
The new stone church was built in 1848 and consecrated by Bishop Vatslav Grinevitsky. The shrine was created by the foundation of the nobles of Kernozhitsky and at the expense of parishioners.
After the Great Patriotic War, the church was closed and the room was adapted for storage, and the church items were looted. At the end of the USSR in 1988, the church was returned to the faithful and the renovation of the building began. In October 1991, Bishop Kazimir Sventak consecrated the church.
The monument was erected in the classical style. The main volume is rectangular in plan. The facade is decorated with two two-tiered towers with a triangular pediment between them. The facade of the church is decorated with two sculptures of the apostles. The interior is divided into three naves. The altar is decorated with a Corinthian colonnade with 2 figures of saints and there is also an icon of the 19th century "Crucifixion". There is an ambon in the interior.
The organ, which has survived to this day, was made in 1875 by a master from Bolshaya Berestovitsa village.
