Sukhopol. Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

In the village of Sukhopol, Pruzhany district, there is a stone Orthodox church, which was consecrated in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The place has been known since the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania since the 17th century. It was around this time that the first wooden church in this town was founded. It is possible that the first church first belonged to the Uniates. And during the time of the Russian Empire, it was handed over to Orthodox believers.

In the temple there was a miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos with a silver Ring, which was very revered in the surrounding area. The church was once destroyed by fire and the icon was also lost. And the local shepherd had a dream that the icon was not dead, but was in the ground. The shepherd went to the site of the burnt-out church and dug up the burnt icon of the Virgin.

In 1878, there was another fire, when the church was severely damaged and the church archive was destroyed.

The new stone church was built in 1903 in the pseudo-Russian style. The shrine was built under the priest Mikhail Vinogradov.

Throughout its existence, the Church has always been open and has never been closed.

The church was built according to a standard design and consists of four main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and an apse. The interior has a wooden iconostasis. There is an icon of the 19th century "Pantokrator the Savior". The temple has been renovated in recent years and the surrounding area has been put in order.
