Zasimovichi. Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

Not far from Pruzhany there is a place called Zasimovichi with a stone Orthodox church of St. Nicholas. The church was built in 1811 by the fund of the local landowner Yelets.

The temple is made of stone, built of brick and rubble stone. A wooden bell tower was built nearby. During the First World War, the shrine was damaged by fire and the building was restored in 1916.

After the Peace of Riga in 1921, the town became part of the Polish state and since 1924 the church has been assigned to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Pruzhany. In 1925, the building underwent major repairs and a new fence was made around the temple. In 1939, with the advent of Soviet power, the church was looted.

And after the Great Patriotic War, the temple was closed in the 1960s and a warehouse was set in the building.

With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the building was handed over to believers and the renovation of the premises began. The church was consecrated again in the fall of 1994.

The monument was erected in the classical style. The main volume of the church is rectangular, to which a triangular apse is attached. The main facade of the church is completed with a triangular pediment. The roof is double-pitched.
