The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a monument of architecture of the retrospective Russian style.
The Assumption Church, located in the village of Pobeda, was built in 1898 from unpainted red brick. It is an architectural monument made in the retrospective Russian style. It is designed as an oblong rectangular volume with three apses of different sizes and covered with a gable roof. A tiered cylindrical turret rises above the main facade. The side facades are decorated with five arches, and the white elements of the architectural decor contrast with the red color of the walls.
In 1930, the Holy Dormition Church was closed. All the icons from the temple were removed or burned. The large cross from the church was made a support for the bridge over the stream.
The temple was reopened during the war. In 1944, Germans took refuge in the church during the retreat, and there were even traces of bullets and shells on the walls.
The temple operated until 1959. At the end of May 1959, the building was partially demolished and converted into a warehouse. In 1989, the church was returned to the faithful and its restoration was carried out. On January 26, 2001, the parish was registered.
In 2016, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was awarded the third category of historical and cultural value of Belarus.
Next to the church there is a holy spring, famous since the 17th century, which helps people with eye diseases and attracts many pilgrims here today.
