Ulla. Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity.

If you drive past the town of Ulla, you will see a tall stone temple from afar – this is the Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. The church building will remind you very much of the ancient temples of Muscovite Rus', but this is a relatively young church.

In the 19th century, there were three Orthodox churches in the city, of which only one has survived to this day. Trinity Church was built in 1896 in the pseudo-Russian style. The building was constructed according to a standard design. The church consists of four main parts: a nave, a refectory, a prayer hall and a semicircular apse. A multi-tiered bell tower was built above the narthex - an octagon on a quadrangle. The church is cruciform in plan. Above the main volume of the prayer hall there is a hipped roof with several tiers of kokoshniks and four turrets at the corners. The facades of the building are richly imbued with small architectural plasticity. And in order to examine the beauty of the church well and in detail, you need to come very close and examine the small architectural elements.

Next to the church there is a pre-revolutionary memorial stone in honor of the founders. If you go a little further to the confluence of the rivers, you will see an old paved road and a Catholic church from the 19th century.
