Mizgiri. The Church of Peter and Paul.

A stone Orthodox church of Saints Peter and Paul has been built in the village of Mizgiri, Slonim district.

The temple was built in a local cemetery a little away from the settlement itself. The church was built during the Russian Empire in 1886. There used to be an old wooden church here.

In Soviet times, the church was closed. The shrine was handed over to Orthodox believers in the last years of the Soviet Union. In 1988, the renovation of the building began. In 1990, the temple started working again.

The monument was erected in a retrospective Russian style.

The building consists of four main canonical parts along an elongated axis: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. The main entrance is decorated in the form of a stone porch under a gable roof on two stone pillars, as in ancient Russian temples. A two-tiered bell tower is built over the vestibule.

The tower is completed with an octagonal drum and a small onion dome. The refectory is covered with a gable roof. Above the main volume is an octagonal drum and an onion dome. A rectangular apse is attached to the main volume. In the church, there are semicircular window openings in the side walls and in the bell tower.

A stone three-span stone gate was built in front of the church. A rubble stone fence has been erected around the temple.
