Yarutichi. Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God.
In the town of Yarutichi, Slonim district, there is a stone Orthodox church, which was consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Mother of God. The place is located on the way from the city of Slonim to the Kossovo town, Ivatsevichi district. If you reach the middle of the way, then turn aside near the village of Novodevyatkovichi and after a couple of kilometers you'll come to Yarutichi.
In Yarutichi, there is a stone Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and a wooden chapel in the local cemetery.
The church was built during the Russian Empire in 1858-1880. The building is built of rubble stone. In 1882, the church was consecrated.
In Soviet times, after the Great Patriotic War, the church was closed. And at that time, no services were held, except for funeral services and funerals of the dead.
The church was again handed over to Orthodox believers and began operating in 1992.
The monument is rectangular in plan and has two main architectural parts: a prayer hall and a semicircular apse. The main facade is decorated with a triangular pediment above which rises an octagonal drum and a helmet-shaped dome. The church is covered with a gable roof. A two-tiered wooden bell tower is built on four pillars in front of the church. The church is active.
There is a wooden chapel in the cemetery between Yarutichi and Sosnovka, which was built in the traditions of Belarusian folk wooden architecture.
