Masilovichi. Chapel at the cemetery.

In the village of Masilovichi, Slonim district, there is a wooden Orthodox chapel at the local cemetery. The place is located on the way from the city of Slonim to Kossovo town, Ivatsevichi district.

As you enter Masilovichi from the village of Novodevyatkovichi, there will be local cemetery on the right near the road. A wooden Orthodox chapel has been erected in the middle of the cemetery.

The temple was built in the 19th century during the Russian Empire. The chapel was built in the traditions of Belarusian wooden folk architecture. The building consists of three main architectural parts: a vestibule, a prayer hall and an apse. The vestibule is through and is supported by four wooden pillars. The main facade is completed with a triangular pediment. Above the pediment is a small four-sided turret with a curved dome. There are two rectangular window openings in the side walls of the temple.
