Novodevyatkovichi. Chapels in the cemetery.
In the village of Novodevyatkovichi, Slonim district, several monuments of architecture and antiquity have been preserved. The remains of the Slizen family estate, several outbuildings and a park with a pond, the Catholic church of Peter and Paul of the 18th century have been preserved here.
Near the village there is a local cemetery with two 19th-century stone gates. One chapel belongs to the Slizen family, and the other belongs to the Kolupailo family.
The stone chapel in the Neo-Gothic style belonged to the Kolupailo. The temple is centric in plan, octagonal, has lancet windows. An iron commemorative plaque by Ludwig Kolupailo (1803-1850) has been preserved in the interior. The building is in a state of disrepair: the roof has caved in, windows and doors are broken.
Nearby there is a stone chapel, the tomb of the Slizen family. The chapel is two-tiered stone, has the shape of a square in the plan. It was built in the "English" style, like the slug palace of the 19th century. The chapel serves as the entrance to the crypt, and the crypt is now walled up. The chapel is in a state of disrepair.
Since the 17th century, the Devyatkovichi estate has been owned by Slizens. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Novye (New)Devyatkovichi belonged to the Slizen family, and the Starye (Old) Devyatkovichi belonged to the noble family of Kolupailo.
