Secrets of the foam capital: why it's worth visiting a private brewery in Minsk

It seems that we know a lot about Minsk, if not everything. It's all the more pleasant to come across places that break stereotypes about urban leisure. Did you know that in the very center of the industrial part of the city, you can not only taste a unique craft beer, but also trace the entire path of its creation - from grain to glass?

We invite you to take an unusual tour of the private brewery owned by the restaurant "Friends". This is not just a lecture at the table, but a full immersion into the high-tech world of craft brewing, where manual work is valued as highly as precision technology.

Figures worthy of respect.

The production facility, located at 40 Kulman Street, is equipped with modern Czech-made equipment. This is not a garage brew, but a serious enterprise, where 59 different beers were brewed during its operation. The scale is impressive: the total production volume is more than 350 tons of foaming drink per year.

What awaits the guests?

The organizers promise that it will not be boring either for beginners who are just beginning to understand hop, or for experienced connoisseurs. The tour "From grain to glass" is a fascinating mix of industrial romance and gastronomic culture.

The program includes several key stages:

Immersion in technology.

You will see the long and "thorny" path of the main character of the evening. The technology guide will reveal the secrets that usually remain behind the scenes: you will learn how to distinguish ale from lager, understand the difference between high and low fermentation, and also learn how the ingredients turn into the very foam that we love so much.

The story is in detail.

The tour would not be complete without a historical digression. You will get acquainted with the evolution of the intoxicating drink - from ancient civilizations to modern craft revolutions. The guests will visit the main production halls to see exactly where the magic of cooking takes place.

Aesthetics of presentation.

It turns out that the taste of the same variety can be revealed in different ways depending on the shape of the glass. As part of the program, you will be taught how to choose the dishes correctly, pour the drink correctly (yes, there are laws here too) and take that very first sip, which sets the tone for the entire tasting.

The main thing is the tasting.

The highlight of the evening will be a tasting of branded beers brewed right here. This is an opportunity not just to taste drinks, but to appreciate the variety of flavors, understanding which way each of them has gone. You will be able to consolidate the theory in practice and choose your favorite.

Why is it worth a visit?

Minsk is gradually becoming a city with a developed gastronomic culture, and such excursions are a vivid confirmation of this. This is a great idea for a date, meeting with friends or an unusual family outing (for adult participants, of course).

This is a chance to see how real craft is born, ask questions to the technologist directly and leave with a new body of knowledge that will definitely come in handy at the bar of any pub.

Do you want to look at your favorite drink in a new way? Perhaps it's worth starting the weekend with this particular gastronomic adventure.
