Description
The ruins of a 16th-century 'Farny' Catholic Church have been preserved in the town of Kletsk. The church was called in another way - in honor of the Holy Trinity. The church was built in the 16th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania as a Catholic church. Then Prince Nikolai Radziwill the Black handed over the building to the Calvinists. The famous Belarusian educator and humanist Simon Budny preached at the shrine. Then the church was handed over to the Catholics again.
The church was damaged during the war and demolished in the 1950s. Part of the wall and the foundation have been preserved to this day.

Kletsk. The ruins of the 'Farny' Catholic Church.
On the outskirts of the town of Kletsk there are ruins of an ancient catholic church from the 16th century. The church was called the Farny Church, or the Church of the Holy Trinity. The temple was built in the 1550s. And in the 1560s, Prince Nikolai Radziwill the Black handed over Catholic Church to the Calvinists.
The famous Belarusian educator and humanist delivered his speeches in this temple. Philosopher and historian Simon Budny (1530-1593). While living in Kletsk, S. Budny was engaged in self-education and acquired books by Western European authors. He analyzed Latin and Greek authors. After the death of Radziwill the Black, the church was again transferred to the Catholic Church. In 1607, the church was consecrated by Bishop of Vilno Yuri Radziwill.
During the Great Patriotic War, the church was partially damaged. In the 1950s, the temple was blown up. A part of the wall and foundations of the church remained. The shrine can be rebuilt in the future.
The church was single-nave, rectangular in plan. It was built in the late Gothic style. A pentagonal apse is attached to the main volume. The walls of the temple are reinforced with buttresses. A three-tiered bell tower is built over the main facade. The interior was decorated with carved altars and sculptural images. There were dungeons in the church.
