Kletsk. Resurrection Church.

The ancient Orthodox Resurrection Church of the 17th - 19th century is located in the historical center of Kletsk. Previously, the building belonged to the Catholic Church of the Dominicans of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Dominican monastery was founded in 1683 by the foundation of Prince Stanislav Kazimir Radziwill, Novogrudok Treasurer Bulgak and Prince Sangushka.

The construction of the stone church began in 1683, the main facade of which overlooked the shopping area. At the same time, several residential buildings of the townspeople were demolished near the square. The church received money from the Radziwills every year for the maintenance of the shrine. The church was consecrated in 1864 in honor of the Virgin Mary.

A two-storey stone building was built behind the church, which has been preserved to this day. The monastery had a garden and a vegetable garden. In the 18th century, the church had a school for nine students, who were taught grammar, reading and other sciences. There was a hospital at the monastery.

During the Russian Empire, after the anti–Russian uprising of 1830-1831, the monastery was closed, and the building was handed over to the military for barracks. The church was rebuilt as the Resurrection Orthodox Church. At the same time, towers were built on the main facade.

In 1921-1939, Kletsk was under the rule of the Polish state. In 1939, with the advent of Soviet power, the temple was closed and a mechanical factory began operating in the building. After the collapse of the USSR, the church was handed over to Orthodox believers.

The church was built in the Baroque style. The temple is single-nave. An apse is attached to the main volume.
