Grodno. Zamkovaya Street. House-7.
In the city of Grodno, on Zamkovaya (Castle) Street, house number 7, there is an architectural monument that was part of the Masalsky Palace. The building is one and two storeys high. In the 18th century, during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Masalski Palace was built on this square, consisting of several stone buildings.
At first, the palace was a two-story long stone U-shaped in plan, which was decorated with a cornice and was covered with a high "French" roof with large dormer windows. The palace had two asymmetrical archways.
During the time of the Russian Empire, a fire broke out in 1899, which significantly damaged the building. After that, the palace was partially dismantled and rebuilt, and a separate building was built on Zamkova Street at No. 7.
The construction of a separate building was carried out at the expense of its new owners Trilling and Simhe Abram. Around 1905, they bought the house from the former owners of Ryvka and Mendele Sable.
Now there are several institutions located in these premises. Grocery Service OJSC of Grodno, a store selling office supplies, operates here.
A memorial plaque dedicated to the victims of the Grodno ghetto and a seven-candle lamp are installed on the building.
