Bobovik's house. If you take a walk along the pedestrian streets of Mogilev - Leninska, the former Vetranaya and Velika Sadova, then be sure to pay attention to the three-story mansion, the facade of which is made of yellow bricks. This is the Babovik income house, built at the end of the 19th century by the Mogilev millionaire Moish Babovik. The building is built in an eclectic style, in which several architectural directions can be traced. Above the balconies you can see several dates: 1898 and 1954. This house was built in 1898. And in 1954 - it was restored after a fire that occurred during the war.

The building was rented out - there were various institutions for every taste: a music store, a dentist's office, a fruit and vegetable store, and others. After Bobovik, there were several more owners of this beautiful house. After the revolution, there was a large administrative building here - the District Committee of the Mogilev District. And since 1930 - a pedagogic institute. At different times, outstanding scientists worked here: poet and translator Yurka Gavruk, local historian and geographer Danila Vasilevsky, geographer and teacher Piotr Lyarsky and many others. Now the building houses one of the campuses of Arkady Kulyashov University with two faculties.
