Description

In June 2026, a food tour for the production of "Admiral Husso" caviar started in Fanipol, 20 km from Minsk. This is the first company of this level in Belarus that supplies delicacies to Europe, the USA and Russia.

The tour is a full immersion in aquaculture. Guests are guided from growing sturgeon in pools with the purest water to hand packing. Sanitary requirements are stricter than in the operating room: there are special coats and hats in front of the entrance.

Interactivity: Ultrasound of a female sturgeon, examination of eggs under a microscope, a master class on the difference between real caviar and fake. The highlight is the tasting of fresh caviar with special pearl spoons so as not to spoil the taste.

The tour for groups of up to 20 people lasts about 3 hours. You can export no more than 250 g of caviar per person. You can buy a jar of your favorite delicacy right at the factory.

Black gold of Fanipol: an excursion to the caviar production of "Admiral Husso".

20 kilometers from Minsk, in the Fanipol industrial zone, a unique gastronomic tour has been launched since June 2026 - to the "Admiral Husso" high-tech caviar production plant. This is the first enterprise of this level in Belarus, whose products are exported to Europe, the USA and Russia.

Sterility is like in an operating room

The first thing that strikes in production is the complete absence of the smell of fish. The air in the workshops smells of ozone, "like after a severe thunderstorm". It's all about a unique water purification system that goes through a closed cycle: drum filters, biological purification by bacteria and ozonation. The technology makes it possible to achieve sterility that is safe for fish. The sanitary requirements here are so strict that guests are dressed in special robes and hats before entering the production areas.

Sturgeons are the same age as dinosaurs

Hundreds of female sturgeon of different ages live in the pools of the plant - from four-year-olds weighing 4-7 kg to 12-year-olds weighing up to 15 kg. This fish species has existed on Earth for more than 200 million years, and today all sturgeons in the world are under the supervision of the international convention CITES. Each fish has its own "passport", and the export of caviar is strictly regulated: it is allowed to carry no more than 250 grams per person outside of Belarus.

Interactivity: ultrasound, microscope and blind tasting

The tour program is designed for groups of up to 20 people and lasts about 2-3 hours. Guests will enjoy a real immersion in aquaculture:

  • Ultrasound diagnostics - specialists show how to determine the maturity of eggs in a female sturgeon using ultrasound.
  • Microscope - eggs are studied under magnification, taught to distinguish a real product from a fake and determine the exact stage of maturity.
  • Blind tasting - guests are offered three samples: "Admiral Husso" Belarusian caviar, artificial imitation and Asian caviar from genetically modified kaluga. Fanipol caviar has already won international blind tastings and is recognized as the best in Moscow among producers from Russia, Iran, Italy and China.

Caviar is served at the factory according to the rules of international etiquette - with special spoons made of shells or mother-of-pearl, so that the metal does not oxidize fats and does not spoil the taste. The caviar bowls are made of crystal from the Belarusian "Neman" factory.

The cost of the tour starts from 120-140 rubles. Starting in September, separate programs are planned for school groups with an emphasis on biology and chemistry (without tasting, but with free souvenirs). You can buy caviar on the spot - in the souvenir shop of the factory.

Fanipol is gradually becoming a center of industrial tourism: the first whiskey distillery in Belarus, the "Soyuz" distillery, is being built next door. Very soon it will be possible to combine the tasting of caviar and premium distillates in one trip.
