Drutskovshchizna. The chapel is the tomb of the Slizen family.

In the village of Drutskovshchizna, Nesvizh district, a stone tomb chapel was built at the local cemetery. In the 19th century, there was a manor house of the famous Belarusian Slizen family in the village. A palace, outbuildings and a church were built.

The chapel was built in the 19th century in the classical style of the Doric order. The temple is stone, built of brick, plastered. The plan is square with a centric composition. A portico with two columns and a triangular pediment is attached to each facade.

In recent years, the chapel has fallen into disrepair - the roof and stone floor have collapsed. The floor caved in and filled up the cellar with burials. A separate staircase led to the basement. Several ancient tombs of representatives of the Slizen genus have been preserved near the chapel.

Otan Yan Slizen (1806-1887), a writer and memoirist, lived in the estate in Drutskovshchizna for a long time. He comes from a noble family. Brother of the sculptor and artist Raphael Slizen. Otan was born in his parents' estate in the Volno Baranovichi district. As children, Otan and Raphael were brought by their parents to their maternal grandfathers' estate in Drutskovshchizna.

Otan studied in Novogrudok, where he became friends with poets Adam Mickiewicz and Jan Chechot. Then he studied in Polotsk at the Jesuit Academy and at the University of Vilno. He participated in the educational work of the Filaret student club.

He served in the Russian army and after retirement settled in Drutskovshchizna. Here he wrote his memoirs, which were published. He died and is buried here.
