Snov. Garting Manor.
In the village of Snov, Nesvizh district, there are several architectural monuments and two manors with a palace. In the center of the village there is a huge Rdultovsky's palace with the park, the 18th-century church of John the Baptist, the barracks of the Polish border troops of 1929 and several other historical sites.
On the outskirts of Snov there is a Gorny Snov folwark, where the manor house with the 19th-century palace and the Orthodox Church of Kosma and Demian are preserved on the hill.
The Gorny Snov estate was first owned by the Rdultovskys and Obukhovichi. And since 1854, the property has been acquired by Gustav Garting. The next owners were his son Nikolai and grandson Henry. The center of the estate is the palace, built by the Hartings in the middle of the 19th century in the classical style.
The building is made of stone brick, plastered. It consists of a two-storey building on a high ground floor and a one-storey wing. The floor was parquet and there were several tiled stoves. To this day, one Art Nouveau stove made of green tiles has been preserved.
In addition to the palace, there is a park and a utility yard with several stone buildings nearby. The park is designed in a landscape and regular style. The park covers an area of six hectares. Ornamental plants were planted in the park in front of the front facade: yavor, roses, lilacs, and other plants.
The Gartings were the owners by the time Soviet power came in 1939. During the Soviet era, there was a hospital here. In recent years, the manor and the palace have been in a neglected state and are waiting for new owners.
