Snov. The Church of Cosma and Demian.

In the village of Snov, Nesvizh district, there is a manor called Gorny Snov. The Gartings stone manor and the Orthodox Church of Cosma and Demian have been preserved there.

Snov was first mentioned in documents during the era of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 15th century. In 1769, Jan Christopher Rdultovsky, who had his own large palace in Snov, founded a chapel at the local cemetery on the outskirts of the village. It was a small wooden church, which was consecrated in honor of Saints Peter and Paul.

During the time of the Russian Empire, in 1830, the temple was destroyed by fire. Then, according to the foundation of Kazimir Rdultovsky, the stone church was built in 1836. The church was also consecrated in honor of Peter and Paul. At the end of the century, in 1893, the church was rebuilt and consecrated in honor of Cosma and Demian. There was a parish school at the temple, where writing, reading, arithmetic and the Law of God were taught.

The church worked both during the Great Patriotic War and in Soviet times. Icons and church items from other churches that were being closed were transferred to this temple.

The church is a monument of classical architecture. In plan, the building has a rectangular volume. To which a triangular apse is attached. A four-pointed bell tower is built above the facade. There are choirs in the interior above the entrance.

There is a three-tiered iconostasis of the 18th century in the church, which was made in Vilna at the Orthodox monastery of the Holy Spirit. The iconostasis has a carved royal gate with cut-through carvings with icons of the four Evangelists.
