Snov. Church of the 18th century
The first church in Snov was built in the 17th century. The temple was made of wood. The brick building in the Baroque style was erected in 1760 by Jan Hrystian Rdultowski. At that time, Mr. Rdultovsky owned an estate in the town of Snov. During the time of the Russian Empire in 1866, the church was closed and handed over to the Orthodox believers under the name of the Savior - the Transfiguration Church. The church was renovated in 1884. The shrine was returned to the Catholics during the Polish state after the revolution in 1921. During the war, the church suffered a lot and was neglected for some time. The restoration was carried out and the church is now functioning. The building is rectangular in plan. The main facade of the church is decorated with sculptures of saints and consists of three vertical parts: two towers protrude from the sides. The interior of the temple was painted with colorful pictures. But the murals have not survived.
