Brest Botanical Garden is a unique place that expands knowledge about plants of various countries and continents, as well as creates a wonderful mood.

The garden of continuous flowering was established on the territory of the Brest State University named after A. S. Pushkin in 2003. In such a short period of time, 250 plant species from different climatic zones managed to settle here. They are conventionally divided into collections of Mediterranean and Far Eastern plants, as well as a group of evergreen conifers. There are various types of junipers, yews, cypress trees, and thuja trees. Azaleas and star-shaped magnolias bloom luxuriantly. There are many trees and shrubs with beautiful foliage: Forchun beresklet skulepia kozhevennaya. The main focus here is on preserving the flora of Oceania and places with unique biological diversity, such as Madagascar, Morocco, Sicily and Chile.

The carpet flowerbed is the center of this part of the Botanical Garden. This is the most complex composition of plants, the selection of which takes into account height, time, decorative effect, duration of flowering.

The winter garden was opened to the public on December 1, 2010 with the introduction of a new greenhouse. The architecture of the modern building of the Winter Garden attracts the originality of the structure, which is a dome made of glass, durable metal and brick. The elaborately made stained glass window is an image of a flower in a circle. It is located right on the facade of the building and adds sophistication to it. This mosaic is not only a symbol of the winter garden, but also emphasizes its purpose. The Winter Garden is large and full of sunlight. The huge greenhouse consists of two floors, but this division is conditional: after all, the height of many plants is from the floor on the first floor to the ceiling on the second. It is very interesting to observe in a giant version those plants that we are used to seeing in pots on window sills.

The winter garden is divided into several zones.

The tropical zone. More than two hundred and forty species of plants are grown here. The chirping of birds and the soothing murmur of water have a beneficial effect on those around in this area.

The subtropical zone. These are medicinal, ornamental, and fruit plants. Here you can see tangerines, grapefruits, pomegranates, oranges, lavender and rosemary.

The desert zone. The entire area of this zone is covered exclusively with stone and sand, so that visitors can imagine how strong and hardy plants growing in the desert should be. There are collections of cacti, milkweed, agave, and aloe. The special pride of the winter garden is the specimens of multi-leaved araucaria from South America, which are more than 20 years old. Another pride is the ancient cycas plant from the Mesozoic, which looks like a palm tree.

In addition to the botanical exhibitions, the Winter Garden features aquariums with fish and several species of birds, including polyphonic and colorful parrots. There is information on the stands in the greenhouse, and QR codes on some copies. The Botanical Garden has walking trails and playgrounds for children, so it is considered a suitable place for family holidays. In early May, the Botanical Garden hosts a fair for amateur gardeners who can purchase seedlings of trees and flowers, including tropical ones.

Brest Botanical Garden is a unique place, which impresses with its rich and diverse expositions, expands knowledge about plants of various countries and continents, and also creates a great mood.
