Kroshin. Park and House of Culture
When you get to Kroshin, you will immediately see the centuries-old park on the banks of the Shchara River. And on the outskirts of the park is the local House of Culture. Once here in the park was the Svyatopolk - Zavadsky manor. In the 15th century, the first church was built in Kroshyn. From the 16th century, the local manor was owned by the Putyats. From the 18th century, the Prushinsky family farmed here, followed by the Volovichi and Radzivils, who were from the town of Polanechka. In 1842, the daughter of Matvei Radzivil Antonina married Yevgeny Robert Svyatopolk - Zavadsky and until 1939 this family ruled in these places. There was a wooden two-story palace in the park, which burned down during the First World War. A landscape park with an area of 5 hectares has been preserved to this day. An oak tree has been preserved in the park - a monument planted in 1884 by the famous poet Anton Odinets and the scientist and writer Ignat Domeyka. The writers Odyniec and Domeyka graduated from Vilnius University, took part in the secret student circles of the Philomaths and Philaretes, and were friends with the famous Belarusian and Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. In the park, see a high hill - these are the remains of the chapel - the burial grounds of the Radzivils and Svyatopolk - Zavadskis. The local House of Culture has already 50 years of its history. The modern building was built in Soviet times. But this institution is not famous for its buildings, but for its unique collection of Belarusian costumes and paintings by famous artists. A museum collection was created. The exhibition and museum in the House of Culture can be viewed for free.
